How does it work? - Group Game
WordsUp is a simple WORD BUILDING game.
To play WordsUp with your Friends, in a Group, you should have your Login details sent to your email id by WordsUp Team. To obtain one, you either create your own WordsUp Group or accept an invite or get your Request accepted by any Group Creator. Once you have your Login details, you can login to www.WordsUp.in to play WordsUp with your Friends, in a Group.
Create your WordsUp Group as follows in the page that opens once you click on the 'CREATE GROUP' link from the Menu at the top of the page
- Give your Name and Emailid in the appropriate textboxes
- Choose your Country, the Category and the Type of Game that you would like your Group to be under from the list boxes provided in that page
- Enter an appropriate title for your WordsUp Group and a short description of your WordsUp Group
- Give Emalids and names of the people you wish to invite to be a part of your WordsUp Group (Optional)
- Once through with the above click the check box if you accept the Terms & Conditions and then press 'Submit' button to create your WordsUp Group in www.WordsUp.in
An email shall be sent to your Emailid as soon as you submit your WordsUp Group creation. Your this email shall contain a confirmation link that you need to click to authenticate your WordsUp Group creation. Only after you authenticate by clicking on the link will your WordsUp Group be visible on VIEW GROUPS page. Also, only after the email confirmation shall the participants details that had been filled during the WordsUp Group registration receive an invite email about your WordsUp Group.
You can either fill in details of your WordsUp Group participants in the form given below in the registration form at the time of your WordsUp Group registration or do the same by going to VIEW GROUPS page to view your WordsUp Group Description and invite Members into your WordsUp Group via the form given below that page. These invitees would become Members of your WordsUp Group after their respective email link confirmations. For all the above activities, your email confirmation before hand after your WordsUp Group registration is a must.
Once you confirm your WordsUp Group registration, you can sign into www.WordsUp.in with the User emailid and Password sent to your email. Once you signin, you will get to your home page that shall show all the WordsUp Groups you have created or a part of. Your Just registered WordsUp Group shall display under the INITIATED WORDSUP GROUPS head
From your homepage then you can click the 'Play with Friends' link alongside the WordsUp Groups displaying under the 'Initiated WordsUp Groups' or 'Active WordsUp Groups' and you will get to the game where you can interact and play WordsUp with that particular WordsUp Group Members. You can start Chating with the members of this group who are already logged in and have clicked and entered the 'Play with Friends' link of the respective WordsUp Group. The members of this group are the ones whose requests have been confirmed and ones who have confirmed the invite of the WordsUp Group Creator. Every WordsUp Group can have a maximum of 24 Members including the Creator of the WordsUp Group.
Once you Login to WordsUp, you can see the registered name and a 'Pending' link next to it. Along side the 'Pending' link, you can see the number of WordsUp Groups you have created, the number of invites you have sent to others to join your WordsUp Group, number of invites others have sent you to join their WordsUp Group, Request sent to your WordsUp Groups by others and Requests that you have sent to join others' WordsUp Groups.
Though an email confirmation link would be sent to your email, you can also see the same details in your 'Pending' page. You can either confirm your WordsUp Groups, invites to you and Requests sent to you in this page or can do the same by clicking the link sent to your email id. Also, the Request sent by you to others, your confirmation can be done in the 'Pending' page or in your email.
Only a Creator of a WordsUp Group can start the WordsUp Group game which would include picking options under the following head

WORD LENGTH – Length of the word or number of Alphabets needed to form a word

NUMBER OF SHUFFLES – Number of times a different set of Alphabets need to be shown to choose from

SHUFFLE GAP –Time required to view and/or choose an Alphabet from a shuffled set of Alphabets

LEFT DECK SHOW - Place where a set of random Alphabets can be seen

LEFT DECK PICK - Number of Alphabets which can be picked from the LEFT DECK to form your word

RIGHT DECK PICK - Number of Alphabets which can be picked from the RIGHT DECK to form your word
- RIGHT DECK - Will show the Alphabets last picked by the members in the group except the first time when all English alphabets will be shown

VIEWABILITY -
A. Private
* Only Members of a WordsUp Group can be a part of the respective WORDSUP GROUPS' game
* No WordsUp Group Member including the Group Creator can view one another's WordsUp Game during the game
* All Members of the WordsUp group can see anybody else's WordsUp only after the finish of the Game.
* All current and last played games can be viewed under 'ACTIVE WORDSUP GROUPS' while the prior ones at 'FINISHED WORDSUP GROUPS'
* Only the games with fully exhausted 'NUMBER OF SHUFFLES' can be seen in 'FINISHED WORDSUP GROUPS' by the Members
B. Members
* Only Members of a Group can be a part of the respective WORDSUP GROUPS' game
* Only WordsUp Group Member including the Group Creator can view one another's WordsUp Game during and after the game
* All current and last played games can be viewed under 'ACTIVE WORDSUP GROUPS' while the prior ones at FINISHED WORDSUP GROUPS'
* Only the games with fully exhausted 'NUMBER OF SHUFFLES' can be seen in 'FINISHED WORDSUP GROUPS' by the Members
C. All
* Only Members of a Group can be a part of the respective WORDSUP GROUPS' game
* Every one across the world can see anybody else's WORDSUP GROUPS while the Game is happening and after finish of the Game
until another new game is started.* Only Members can view all prior games under FINISHED WORDSUP GROUPS'
* Only the games with fully exhausted 'NUMBER OF SHUFFLES' can be seen in 'FINISHED WORDSUP GROUPS' by the Members
Once the options from the above heads are chosen, click the ‘START GAME’ button to start your WordsUp Group game. This will shift the WordsUp Group's link from under INITIATED WORDSUP GROUPS head to ACTIVEWORDSUP GROUPS head
To complete an Alphabet PICK, Simply Click on the Alphabet or Click & drag the Alphabet of your choice from the ones revealed in the LEFT DECK and RIGHT DECK alternatives and drop them into the box above the "Click your Alphabet OR Drag & Drop them Above" button. Once you have dropped your Alphabet into the box, the text in the Button automatically changes to "Click to Confirm your Alphabet". Click the Button to Confirm your Alphabet Choice. Once you do that, the text on the Button would Change to "Your Alphabet is Confirmed" . You can alter your choice of Alphabet as many times possible within your specified SHUFFLE GAP. Only the final Alphabet that has been confirmed by you before the finish of the SHUFFLE GAP shall be taken as the confirmed one. Only one Alphabet can be Picked from each SHUFFLE.
Once your WordsUp Group has started
- No new Member can be accepted to enter a game in progress
- LEFT DECK and RIGHT DECK alternatives would show alphabets. Members can start choosing an alphabet per SHUFFLE
- The alphabets shown in LEFT DECK shall be random for every Jump. Alphabets shown in the first JUMP of RIGHT DECK will be all English alphabets and the subsequent ones would just show the last alphabet chosen by each member of the game.
- IF both LEFT DECK and RIGHT DECK alternatives show common alphabets and if the common alphabet is chosen, then the chosen alphabet is taken as chosed from the LEFT DECK
- A game is completed only when a Members exhausts all the alphabet PICKS in both LEFT & RIGHT DECK or if the NUMBER OF SHUFFLES are exhausted
- While every Member can see the alphabet SHUFFLES and their alphabet PICKS in the right column in the gaming panel.
- The played game can also be viewed by others depending on the ACCESSIBILTY of the game
Each WordsUp Group Member can view others word formation progress in the panel provided in the gaming panel along side their gaming name. They can also click on the "SEE ALL SHUFFLES" link provided at the gaming panel to view other's game progress against their name that can be chosen from the list. With the game ACCESSIBILITY as 'ALL' anyone can view the Member's game progress by choosing the WordsUp game from the list under VIEW GROUPS page.
They can see the Group details by choosing their required WORDSUP Group in the VIEW GROUPS page and send their request to the Group Creator to be accepted in the Group
If the ACCESSIBILITY of the game under progress is 'ALL' anyone can view the Game progress by choosing the WordsUp game from the list under VIEW GROUPS page, getting to choose the particular WordsUp Group and click on the 'VIEW NOW' link next to the WordsUp Group Title.
ACTIVE, FINISHED and ARCHIVE WORDSUP games can be viewed by the Group Members at anytime by clicking the 'PLAY WITH FRIENDS', 'VIEW PLAYED GAMES' AND 'VIEW GAMES' respective links in their HOME PAGE.
The Members of a WORDSUP group can at anytime once they become a Member of a group be able to CHAT with their fellow Group Members until the WordsUp Group remains active, which is 7 days from the WordsUp Group Registration time. Ince removed from the ACTIVEWORDSUP GROUPS, the respective Group's CHATS will be deleted and will not be available to the WORDSUP Group members
ARCHIVED WORDSUP GROUPS shall hold all WORDSUP Group Games once they have been moved from their 7 days active period permitted by www.WordsUp.in , from where they can be accessed by the Group Members.
